Consultations and estimates can be scheduled within two weeks. Advance planning and scheduling of your project increases your options regarding time frames and our availability.
Yes! Dan Fulwiler Painting and Decorating is located in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
For those of you who have never heard of Oconomowoc, we are part of the Greater Milwaukee Metropolitan area and located, "In the heart of Lake Country". We proudly provide services throughout Southeast and Central, Wisconsin. We also travel to other areas. We have completed work in New York, Texas, Ohio, Kentucky, New Jersey and California.
Many of our simple faux finishes and custom painting techniques can be completed over the course of 3-5 days. Venetian plasters, faux stone and complex finishes can take from 5-10 days to complete, depending on the size of the surface area. The time frame for Murals, Trompe L'Oeil or hand painted designs depends on the complexity, size, scope and nature of your project. An impressionistic mural can be painted over the course of a few days, while fine art and more intricately detailed projects may take longer to complete. Most projects shown on our web site were completed in approximately 1 week.

Yes! We
have an on-site studio that we utilize for producing murals on canvas, sample
boards, testing
new products and techniques and working on projects, such as home
accessories, furniture, interior design gifts and art.
Yes. The surface is our "canvas". Proper preparation is the key to the success of any painting project. All necessary repairs to the surface or substrate need to be done prior to any decorative work or painting. We can provide appropriate methods and solutions for any necessary repairs. Different finishes require different surface preparations. Dan and/or his journeymen, will prepare all substrates using time-honored, traditional practices for proper installation. This ensures that whatever your painting or decorating project entails, it will look great and last for many years to come.
Furniture in the room needs to be moved at least 4 feet away from the areas being painted. Preferably, to the center of the room. If you require assistance, just let us know during your initial consultation. Whatever your project may entail, we are ready to meet your needs.
Delicate or precious items, art and antiques must be removed by the client.
On the first day of work, we will install clean drop cloths to protect all furniture and flooring. We mask and paper all areas that need to be protected prior to painting. This includes, but is not limited to: moldings, ceilings, doorframes, window frames, hardware, etc.
