This is another one of the paintings I created to help teach myself how to paint. It is a reproduction of the outside album cover for the ANIMALS album released in 1977 by the psychedelic rock band Pink Floyd. The original art on this album was painted by Storm Thorgerson who also had a big influence on my own painting. To make this piece more of my own, I removed all signs of activity except the single lit window (the original painting is very busy with people pushing carts and trucks coming and going). The next thing I did was add the sickly yellow creeping malaise in the lower left corner. Lastly, I turned the pig around backwards, so we could see his squiggly tale.
